14. Do developed countries have more cyberbullying compared to developing countries?/15. Which country has the most cyberbullying?

The data from parental reports have shed light on the prevalence of cyberbullying in different countries. The statistics reveal that India has the highest percentage of cyberbullying cases reported by parents, reaching a significant 38%. Brazil follows closely behind with 29%, and the United States ranks third at 26%.

These figures demonstrate that cyberbullying is a pervasive issue affecting children and adolescents in various parts of the world, regardless of a country's level of development. While some may assume that cyberbullying is more prevalent in developed countries due to higher internet access and technology usage, the data refutes this notion. Instead, it shows that cyberbullying can emerge in any country, irrespective of its economic status or technological advancement. The top three countries where parents reported the most cyberbullying are India at 38%, Brazil at 29%, and the U.S. at 26%.

This shows that whether the country is developed or not does not have anything to do with cyberbullying rates.

  1. It was interesting to learn about the actual number of cases of cyber bullying in countries around the world. However, I am personally curious about what the definition of developing countries is in this post. Although you use India and Brazil as examples here, I wonder if these countries are developing countries? As for India in particular, it is rather technologically advanced, so naturally I believe that it is a country with a high rate of Internet use and a tendency toward cyber bullying.
