6. How does cyberbullying start?

A large portion of cyberbullying does not begin with the goal of seriously harming someone. Young individuals write or SMS something they believe is a joke or a random comment, so it requires less courage and provides the illusion that bullies won't get caught. but the receiver may not find it amusing. In fact, it's easy to cross the line into cyberbullying.

The rise of social media and online platforms has made cyberbullying more prevalent and accessible. These platforms provide bullies with easy access and constant connectivity to their victims. Hurtful messages or embarrassing content can quickly spread and go viral, amplifying the impact of cyberbullying. The anonymity and perceived lack of real-life consequences contribute to its perpetuation.
